EDI Working Group
Overview
The SIF Equality, Diversity and Inclusion working group exists to progress EDI initiatives within the social investment sector through:
Collaboration: working closely with both the Diversity Forum and Equality Impact Investing Project, including to identify and oversee joint work between forum and these two projects.
Amplification: acting as a sounding board for EDI issues related to social investment, championing best practice and sharing information with the wider SIF membership
Coordination: coordinating SIF input into relevant consultations, inquiries or reviews that are being led by organisations, including those with a sectoral or national focus.
The group will be open to anyone who has an interest in equality, diversity and inclusion issues, provided they are a member of the SIF. The group will maintain active links with the Diversity Forum and Equality Impact Investing Project to ensure that it is adding value and not duplicating existing work.
This will predominantly act as a ‘task and finish’ group that comes together to take for a particular project that is agreed collectively by the SIF membership.
